These Terms of Service govern your use of Made to Teach websites, the Made to Teach mobile app, the timetable import site, and any closely related services we make available through them.
By downloading, accessing, or using Made to Teach, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What the service does
Made to Teach is a teacher planning product. Depending on the feature you use, it may help you manage classes, timetables, reminders, notes, assessments, loose ends, lesson plans, teaching programs, delivered-lesson registers, shared classes, and related planning workflows inside the app. Optional Pro features may also provide AI-assisted planning and Smart Capture suggestions for review.
The import site allows a signed-in Made to Teach user to generate a one-time code in the mobile app, enter that code on the website, upload a supported timetable file or image, and create a timetable draft for review back in the app.
Made to Teach is intended to reduce manual planning work. It is not a student record system, school administration platform, or general-purpose file storage service.
2. Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise authorised by your school or organisation, to use Made to Teach.
If you create an account, upload a calendar, timetable, teaching program, or other material, or use the service on behalf of a school, faculty, or another teacher, you confirm that you have authority to do so and to let Made to Teach and its service providers process that material to provide the feature you requested.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials, one-time import codes, and device access secure.
3. Acceptable use and content responsibilities
When using Made to Teach, you agree that:
- you will use the service lawfully and only for legitimate teaching or school workflow purposes,
- the content you upload or create is content you are entitled to access and use,
- you will take reasonable steps to avoid uploading unnecessary student-identifying or sensitive information,
- you will share class invitations only with intended, authorised collaborators and will not publish invite codes or links where unauthorised people can claim them,
- you will not use shared classes to harass, threaten, intimidate, discriminate against, exploit, impersonate, or deceive another person,
- you will not post shared content that is unlawful, abusive, sexually explicit, rights-infringing, or that exposes student, colleague, or school information you are not authorised to share,
- you will not upload malware, malicious files, or content that could damage the service,
- you will not interfere with, probe, reverse engineer, or misuse the service beyond what law permits,
- you will not use Made to Teach to build a formal student record system, behaviour log, or pastoral tracking database.
Content marked as shared can be visible to other members of the class team according to their assigned role. Shared-class owners are responsible for inviting the intended people and choosing suitable access roles, and every collaborator remains responsible for the content they contribute or change.
You can report another active class member or content they created from the shared class in the mobile app. Blocking creates a private safety report and prevents the two accounts from sharing any class while the block remains. Depending on who owns each affected class, it removes either the blocked member or the person making the block from that shared workspace. You can also report suspected abusive, unlawful, privacy-invasive, or otherwise unauthorised shared content or conduct to support@madetoteach.com.au. Include your account email, the relevant class or invite context, and enough detail for us to investigate, but do not send additional student or sensitive information that is not needed for the report. We may investigate and take proportionate action, including restricting content or account access where appropriate.
4. Timetable import and uploaded files
Import codes are temporary and single-use. Once claimed in a browser, the code should not be considered reusable.
You are responsible for keeping your code private until it is entered on the import site. Anyone with access to an unused code may be able to claim that upload session.
Uploading a file or image does not automatically update the live timetable in the app. Imported data becomes a draft first and must still be reviewed and confirmed by the user in Made to Teach.
You are responsible for checking the resulting classes, times, rooms, and other details before relying on them.
Timetable parsing is inherently imperfect because school systems export .ics files differently, PDF layouts vary, and photos or screenshots can be incomplete or difficult to read. .ics is generally the most accurate import format. Image extraction may use an AI service and can omit or misread details. We aim to support common recurring timetable formats, but we do not guarantee that every upload will parse perfectly.
The service may reject malformed, oversized, or unsupported uploads, or may require manual cleanup after import.
Optional AI planning, Smart Capture, and program-aware planning can produce incomplete, unsuitable, or inaccurate suggestions. Suggested class assignments, task details, dates, checklist steps, lesson content, and program sequence remain drafts until you review and accept them. You remain responsible for professional judgment and for checking all generated or interpreted content before relying on, sharing, or teaching from it. Do not submit student names, health information, or other sensitive information that is not necessary for the request.
5. App permissions, notifications, and device features
The app may ask for access to notifications, files, camera, photo library, microphone, or device widget features so optional features can work properly. Microphone access is used only when you choose to record a voice memo.
You can decline some of these permissions, but the related feature may then be limited or unavailable. You are also responsible for your own device privacy settings, including lock screen visibility and whether a home screen widget is visible to others who use the device.
6. Local storage, cloud sync, and account recovery
Some versions or modes of Made to Teach store data locally on your device. If you uninstall the app, clear device storage, or lose access to a device before data is synced or exported, that content may not be recoverable.
Deleting a Made to Teach account removes its cloud identity and cloud data but does not remotely erase a planner already stored on a mobile device. That planner remains local to each device and stops syncing through the deleted account. When the app detects a fresh installation, it clears older app data that secure device storage may otherwise have retained from a previous installation before opening a planner.
Cloud features depend on supported account services, network access, and the continued availability of our backend and service providers.
Cloud sync keeps the current supported planner state available across signed-in devices; it is not a versioned backup or archival restore service. Content created while offline or before a successful sync can be lost if you uninstall the app, clear storage, or lose the device. On mobile, signing out keeps that device's planner locally but stops its cloud sync. The account-only browser does not keep a signed-out planner. Teaching-program uploads and generated register downloads are also subject to storage limits and short-lived download links described in our Privacy Policy.
If an account has no authenticated app activity for about 335 days, we may send an inactivity warning. Cloud app data becomes eligible for automated cleanup after 365 days of inactivity and at least 30 days after that warning was sent. After cleanup, the account resumes with a new empty planner and older account-linked planner data on reconnecting devices is cleared so it cannot recreate the removed workspace. This is not a backup-and-restore workflow.
7. Paid features and subscriptions
Made to Teach may offer free and paid features, including a Pro subscription or other entitlements. Availability, pricing, and feature packaging may change over time.
Pro subscriptions may be offered on a monthly or annual recurring basis. The price, currency, billing period, and any trial or introductory offer will be shown before purchase. Unless you cancel before the next renewal, your subscription will renew automatically and the applicable purchase channel will charge your saved payment method for the next billing period.
Where a 14-day free trial is offered, eligibility is determined by the purchase channel and the subscription-group rules shown at purchase. The app only presents a trial claim when the store reports an eligible zero-price two-week introductory period. At the end of an eligible trial, the subscription renews at the displayed recurring price unless you cancel before renewal.
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are billed by Apple. Apple's terms govern App Store billing, trials, renewals, cancellations, and refund requests. You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.
Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are billed by Google. Google Play's terms govern Google Play billing, offers, renewals, cancellations, and refund requests. You can manage or cancel a Google Play subscription through the subscriptions area of the Google Play account used for the purchase. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
Subscriptions purchased in a browser are provided through RevenueCat Billing, with Stripe processing the payment. You can manage or cancel a browser subscription through the Made to Teach web customer billing portal linked from your purchase or renewal email. Browser purchases are separate from App Store and Google Play purchases and cannot be managed by Apple or Google.
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. Unless a refund is issued or access is otherwise ended under these Terms, paid features remain available until the end of the current paid billing period.
Deleting your Made to Teach account, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. You must cancel through the store or billing provider that charged you.
Refund eligibility and processing depend on the channel through which you purchased and on applicable law. App Store refund requests must be made through Apple. Google Play refund requests should be made through Google Play or Made to Teach support where Google directs you to the app developer. For a browser purchase, contact Made to Teach support. Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. We may use RevenueCat to validate, restore, and share entitlements across supported devices and services.
8. Suspension, restriction, and expiry
We may suspend or restrict access to Made to Teach if we reasonably believe there is:
- misuse of one-time codes,
- attempted abuse of the upload flow,
- abusive or unauthorised shared-class content or collaboration conduct,
- security risk, unlawful conduct, or repeated policy breaches.
Import sessions may also expire automatically if they are left unused for too long. We may change, pause, or retire features as the product evolves.
9. Intellectual property
You retain rights in the content you upload or create, subject to the limited rights we need to host, process, sync, parse, analyse with the service providers identified in our Privacy Policy, generate requested suggestions from, and return that content to your Made to Teach account or device. This limited permission exists only to operate, secure, support, and improve the service you use and ends when the content is deleted, subject to ordinary backup, security, moderation, transaction-record, and legal retention.
You must not upload content that infringes another person's copyright, confidentiality obligations, or other legal rights.
We or our licensors own the Made to Teach software, branding, and service materials, except for your own content.
10. Australian Consumer Law and disclaimers
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Subject to those non-excludable rights, Made to Teach is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, versioned backup or restore, perfect sync behaviour, perfect parsing outcomes, or that AI suggestions will be accurate, complete, suitable for a particular class, or aligned with school requirements.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Made to Teach, including timetable mistakes that were not reviewed before confirmation in the app or loss of unsynced locally stored data. You are responsible for reviewing imported and AI-generated drafts before relying on them in a professional or classroom setting.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by law, including re-supplying the affected service where appropriate.
12. Changes to the service or terms
We may change, improve, pause, or discontinue parts of Made to Teach as the product evolves. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
